Effect of number of implants, distal implant inclination, and angled abutment on stresses in fixed complete dentures: a nonlinear finite element analysis

چکیده
Objectives: This nonlinear three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA) study evaluated the effect of number implants, distal implant inclination, and use angled abutments on stress magnitude distribution in cortical bone (CB), abutment screw (AS), prosthetic (PS) implant-supported fixed complete dentures. Methods: Nonlinear 3D FEA models mandibular dentures were created with five, four, or three parallel straight implants (5S, 4S, 3S) tilted (5T, 4T, 3T). In addition, 5T model was tested using over to re-align inclination. A 100-N axial load applied first molar region (cantilever) analyze von Mises stresses selected points (CB, AS, PS). Results: The adjacent showed highest CB, PS. higher than ones four five implants. Peak AS increased 40% from 100% Tilting CB. PS 150% 5S 4S 4T models. Angled generated lower CB but Conclusions: results suggest that bone, screw, increase when tilting posterior reducing decreased at bone-implant interface screws screws.

distal extension removable partial denture is a prosthesis with lack of distal dental support with a 13-fold difference in resiliency between the mucosa and the periodontal ligament, resulting in leverage during compression forces. it may be potentially destructive to the abutments and the surrounding tissues. the aim of this study was to assess the effect of implant location on stress distribu...

the main goal of this study was to evaluate differences in stress distribution relevant to the number of implants under an anterior bridge when combined with a removable partial denture in the posterior region.four three-dimensional finite element models (3d fem) were designed from a mandible containing an implant-supported bridge extending between canines, and a bilateral distal extension remo...
